Bye bye old £5 notes

We are saying goodbye to the old £5notes today!

Olivia is reading

This last week with Olivia we have picked up a Julia Donaldson phonics book and tried out some reading with her and she just kinda got it!  Been getting the hang of 3 letter words by sounding out the letters! Amazing!

Easter Sunday 2017

Kids loved doing a chick hunt around the garden.

We made simple cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and I made some fondant carrots for a lovely Easter theme.  I'm not quite sure why Isaac has his backpack and hat on.  He usually does this when going on an adventure!

Daddy and his sister enjoyed sharing the chocolates out between them.

First lost tooth

After 11 days of wobbliness Isaac woke up this morning with a gap. His tooth came out in his sleep and he can't find it anywhere! He has looked all through his duvet and we've come to the conclusion that he swallowed it!

Isaac thinks he can feel it in his throat! However he is excited that the tooth fairy might visit however we are off to the inlaws tonight so I hope they find us!

Polesden Lacey

Last day of the half term and it's not going to rain.  So we went to Polesden Lacey along with Sophie.  Isaac and Olivia were excited that they could scoot. They love sitting on the boot of the car to get their wellies on.

Just outside the mansion I saw this gorgeous tree.  Each branch had a heart on. Some looked like love notes for Valentines Day. OThers were of people remembering their loved one.  Absolutely gorgeous to look at.

Kids enjoyed rolling down the holy, despite the mud they had fun. I'm glad it's the end of the week and and can wash their coats and hoodies!

We met up with friends. They all got on really well today. Reminds me of the good times we all had when I looked after them before their youngest came along.

The kids found some great trees to climb.

And hang off!

Olivia said she was the princess of the castle and I was the dirty rascal!

Quick snack in the natural play area.

Then we played a game known as Forty Forty

More tree climbing.  Found this beauty set back from the path that goes from the natural play area to the pop up coffee shop.

Isaac and Sophie fell asleep in the car on the way home. Isaac was catching flies. He soon woke up!

Half term - Hobbledown

Making use of our annual passes to Hobbledown (though I'm sure they are due to expire) we met up with friends and enjoyed our morning slot in the playbarn and then ventured outside for packed lunches and outdoor sand play.

Isaac was so excited to spend the day with his best friend A.

The both enjoyed climbing and testing their limits as to how high they could go!
